Man ‘gives his arm’ for dogs, upholds humanity

The innocuous-trip-turned-tragedy, however, serves as a grim reminder to the extent pet lovers go to protect their pets.

The start-up founder, Mudit Dandwate, apparently dived into the lake situated on the outskirts of Bangalore to save his dogs from drowning. It is highly unfortunate that he had to part with his arm while successfully rescuing both his dogs on Sunday (June 25).

It is not long ago that we had the heartwarming incident of Leo the Lab – a one-and-a-half-year-old pup safeguarding its master from robbers that waylaid them in Bangalore. We have heard several such stories of pet owners being saved, rescued or being taken to safety by their dogs, all through our lives.

But Mudit’s is not an everyday occurrence. Nor is it something witnessed or heard of often by even the staunchest of pet lovers. This incident is more heart than bravado about man reciprocating the love showered on him by his best friend.

Humanity has given its ‘right’ arm for its four-legged friends. The tables have turned.

P.S.: Here’s hoping that nobody takes such grievous blows in future, in the process of protecting their pets. TailsLife wishes for the speedy recovery of Mudit, and safety of pets.
